On Tuesday, 7 June 2022, St. Louis 1 Surabaya Catholic Senior High School held a Graduation and Prom event for students graduating in 2022. This year’s graduation and prom theme is “One Last Reprise.” It took place from 10.30 a.m. to 07.00 p.m.
The graduation commenced with a traditional dance performance by St. Louis students. Following this were the opening speeches given by St. Louis’ Principal, Dra. Sri Wahjoeni Hadi S., and the Head of the Lazaris Foundation, Father Martinus Iwan Yulius CM. Next, the graduating students are given their medals, officially becoming alumni of St. Louis 1 Surabaya Catholic Senior High School.
After the graduation ended, the prom event began. First, the students take photos in the photo-booth. Enhancing this event is a performance by St. Louis Choir, followed by performances from St. Louis’ graduating students. The teachers also gave their messages, impressions, and wishes for the students The event was closed by another dance performance from St. Louis’ dance team, Le Clique.
Spending a majority of their high school experience online did not hinder or decrease the strength of their friendships. The closing of a 3-year journey in St. Louis 1 Catholic Senior High School opens a new blank page in our lives.
