Sabtu (20/7), SMA Katolik St. Louis 1 Surabaya mengadakan pertemuan orang tua/wali seluruh siswa siswi kelas X di Bangsal Lazaris. Pertemuan ini untuk mengenalkan seluruh sistem yang berjalan di St. Louis 1 dalam mendampingi anak-anak yang dipercayakan kepada sekolah.
Pengenalan dimulai dari visi misi St. Louis 1 oleh Kepala Sekolah Dra. Sri Wahjoeni Hadi S. Dalam penyampaiannya beliau menekankan bahwa sekolah dan orang tua harus saling bersinergi dalam mendidik anak-anak. Sesi selanjutnya adalah pengantar mengenai kurikulum oleh WAKASEK bidang Kurikulum Dahlia Adiati, S.Pd., penjelasan mengenai tata tertib, OSIS, ekstrakurikuler oleh WAKASEK Kesiswaan Y. Heri Priyanto, S.Pd., dan pengenalan spiritualitas Vinsensian juga CCVV (Compassion, Competence, Vincentian Virtues) disampaikan oleh Rm. Martinus Irwan Yulius, M.A., CM., selaku Ketua Yayasan Lazaris. Diakhir acara, orang tua/wali siswa bertemu dengan masing-masing wali kelas.
Di hari yang sama bertempat di Benedict Room, sekolah juga mengundang secara khusus orang tua kelas X yang anak-anaknya tinggal tidak bersama orang tua kandung. Pertemuan orang tua siswa rantau tersebut diberi tema Jauh Di Mata Dekat Di Hati.
Pertemuan antara sekolah dan orang tua siswa rantau ini dijembatani oleh para konselor Bimbingan Konseling (BK) St. Louis 1, dengan tujuan bahwa sekolah juga memberi perhatian terhadap siswa siswi yang tinggal berjauhan dengan orang tua.
Yang menarik dipertemuan ini adalah ketika di akhir acara, orang tua menuliskan kata-kata motivasi dan harapan disecarik kertas beramplop yang nantinya akan diberikan kepada anak-anak mereka, dengan perantara konselor BK.
Saturday (20/7), St. Louis 1 Surabaya Senior Catholic High School held a meeting of parents of all X-grade pupils in Bangsal Lazaris. This meeting is to introduce the entire system that runs in St. Louis 1 in accompanying the children entrusted to the school.
The introduction begins with the vision of the mission of St. Louis 1 by the head of the school Dr. Sri Wahjoeni Hadi S. The next session was an introduction to the curriculum by WAKASEK in the field of Curriculum Dahlia Adiati, S.Pd., an explanation of the order, OSIS, extra-curricular by WASEK Studentship Y. Heri Priyanto, s.pd., and the introduction of Vinsensian spirituality– CCVV (Compassion, Competence, Vincentian Virtues)– delivered by Rm. Martinus Irwan Yulius, M.A., CM., as Chairman of the Lazaris Foundation. At the end of the event, the parents and children meet with their respective classmates.
On the same day in the Benedict Room, the school also specifically invited parents of overseas students from grade X. The meeting was given the theme Far in the Close in the Heart.
The meeting between the school and the parents of overseas students was bridged by the St. Louis 1 Counselling Counselors, with the aim that the school also pay attention to pupils who live away from their parents.
What’s interesting about this meeting is that at the end of the event, parents write words of motivation and hope drawn from an envelope that will later be given to their children, with the intermediary of BK’s counselor.
