On Tuesday, the 20th of September 2022, St Louis 1 Surabaya Catholic Senior High School’s basketball teams competed in the finals of the Developmental Basketball League or DBL for short. The girls team’s match began at 14.00, competing against Gloria Christian High School 1. Then, the boys team’s match began at 17.00, competing against SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya (SMADA). The prestigious event took place at the DBL Arena, Graha Pena Building.
Before the match started, both teams did some warm ups to avoid injuries. Choreographed cheers from all sides roared within the arena. The players worked hard together to score points and try to reach victory.
In the end, the girls’ match resulted with Gloria Christian High School 1 winning. By the end of the fourth quarter, St Louis 1 scored 35 points totally, while Gloria scored 79 points. Bearing the fruit of their time and effort, the boys team managed to win the Surabaya DBL Competition 2022. They triumphed with 58 points compared to 40 points scored by SMADA.
