Science has always been a major driving force in human progress. It is a testament to humanity’s intellect, will, and determination and on the 11th of July St Louis 1’s Calvin Shevchenko showed just those qualities to snatch the silver medal of the 34th International Biology Olympiad in the United Arab Emirates. It was a huge moment for Calvin as the International Biology Olympiad or the IBO is one of the world’s most well-known International Science Olympiads.
Upon returning to Indonesia he was greeted in the airport by friends, teachers, and family. All there to congratulate Calvin on a job well done. It truly shows what hard work and perseverance can get you in life. A monumental achievement for student, school, and country. Hopefully the start of more success.
