Last Thursday (26/2/2023), SMAK St Louis teachers and employees went on a retreat. The theme was “bertumbuh, berakar dan berbuah” (to grow, to root and to fruit) “Instead of focusing on catholicism, The retreat mainly focused on teaching and deepening our understanding about the 5 vincentian values. This was goodl because some of our colleagues are non-catholic and the priests understand that.” (Mr Waluh).
In addition Mr Waluh also recounts that there were many sessions during the retreat including the sharing session, Some employees were sharing about their missions on Indonesia’s underdeveloped villages. “For me, this retreat is quite interesting, and it further tightens our relationships with other employees.” (Mr Rio).
In total there were almost 100 people divided into 4 subgroups. The Employee subgroup would spend 3 days in the Resi Aloysii 3, Pacet, Mojokerto. The teachers were divided into 3 subgroups : The “teologi” (theology), The “dinamika” (dynamics) and The “meditasi“ (meditation). Each group has a different agenda and were going to different locations. For instance the Theology group and the Dynamics group went to Mojokerto, The Employees went to Mojokerto and the meditation group went to Sawiran.
